Update: Early Dismissal Planned for Thursday, Final Exam Schedule Changed

Superintendent: Temperatures reached more than 90 degrees in some classrooms on Wednesday.

In anticipation of extreme heat on Thursday, Superintendent Diane Ullman has announced that schools will have an early dismissal.

Ullman sent out a statement to parents saying that temperatures in classrooms on Wednesday reached more than 90 degrees in some locations. With the heat expected to continue, all schools will release students on an emergency schedule on Thursday.

"Lunch will be served to elementary school students. Morning Kindergarten students will ride the bus home with Grade 1-6 students. There will be no afternoon Kindergarten," Ullman's letter said.
