If There is Power, There Will Be School Monday

Officials will decide on Friday if school will be open on Monday.

From Superintendent of Schools Diane Ullman:

We still do not know whether school will be in session on Monday. A decision and notification will be sent out to families on Friday.

Pending the availability of power, and the ability to transport students to school, school will be in session on Tuesday, November 8 — Election Day.

No decision has been relative to when this week’s missed school days will be made up. As of this week the last day of school for students is June 20.

The Board of Education will consider alternatives at their meeting on November 8 and will make a decision shortly thereafter. The following options will be considered: extending the end of the school year, eliminating some or all of April vacation or eliminating some or all of February vacation. I will send a communication once the decision has been made by the board.
