Kids' Lit Quiz Champs Raising Funds for New Zealand Trip

Four students will travel to New Zealand for world finals in July.

The Squadron Line Elementary School Kids' Lit Quiz champions are preparing for their big trip to New Zealand to compete in the world finals, and they're looking for community support to help them get there.

On July 4, a team of four Squadron Line students will travel the globe to compete in the 20th Anniversary International Lit Quiz Final in Auckland, New Zealand. The team will be the first U.S. team to participate in the finals, according to the school's website.

Before the team boards the plane, they've got their work cut out for them. The team needs to raise $15,000 to pay for airline tickets for 4 students, 4 parents, and 2 adult chaperones and they are looking to local businesses, organizations, and willing donors to help them meet that goal.
