New principal will take over on August 6.

Submitted Release

On Wednesday, July 18th, the Simsbury Board of Education approved the appointment of Meg Evans to the position of Principal of Squadron Line School. Evans will fill a vacancy left by Kerry Jones, who has taken a position in West Hartford.

In June, a screening committee was formed, comprised of administrators, board members, faculty members and parents, which reviewed the two dozen applications for the position. A selection committee further narrowed down the candidates, with a total of two chosen for final interviews with the Administrative Council.
