Simsbury Public Schools will be closed on Wednesday January 16, 2013.
A winter storm blew through Connecticut early Wednesday morning, prompting school cancellations in Simsbury.
The snow is expected to continue until early afternoon. The National Weather Service is also predicting that Thursday will be mostly sunny with a high near 37.
Commuters are urged to take caution during Wednesday morning's commute, particularly on bridges and overpasses where icing may occur.
