Simsbury Schools to Have Normal Dismissal Time on Wednesday

Professional development is postponed, students should arrive at normal time unless school is delayed.

In a letter to parents, Simsbury Supt. of Schools Matt Curtis announced that Wednesday will be a full day of school rather than the scheduled early dismissal due to the possibility of a delay in the morning from ice.

Wednesday was originally scheduled as a professional development day and will now be a regular day of school unless students are instructed to arrive late by the administration.

"This will provide a return to normal scheduling and provide the flexibility we would need to delay the opening of school 90 minutes should we have icy conditions in the morning," Curtis said in an email to parents.
