Squadron Line's 'Peter Pan' A High-Flying Success

More than 40 students were involved with the recent production.

's Fifth Grade After-School Drama Club performed Peter Pan before a packed crowd of more than 300 parents and family members on March 29 in the school auditorium.

Peter Pan, written by J.M. Barrie, was adapted for the stage and a large cast by Kathryn Schultz Miller and was enhanced by musical numbers added by volunteer director Kathy Knapp. Directing the production along with Knapp were Susan Salina and Cathy Sullivan.

The drama club is sponsored by the school’s PTO and supported by many parent volunteers coordinated by Darlene Kassa and Susan Murphy. More than 40 students participated in all facets of the production including singing, acting, dancing and stage crew. The students have been working since mid-December, when the show was cast, meeting one to two times a week to get the show ready for their exciting performance. A fabulous performance pleased the audience.
