Students Receive Accolades At Board Of Education Meeting

These winners are looking to go on to New Zealand.

At a packed Board of Education meeting last week, four students from Squadron Line School received applause and praise for their huge win at the recent U.S. Kids' Lit Quiz.

The Kids' Lit Quiz is an annual competition for kids between the ages of 10 and 13.  On Feb. 3, four teams of Squadron Line Elementary School sixth
graders participated in the Kids’ Lit Quiz at Central Connecticut State
University (CCSU), with one of the teams placing first, garnering them a trip to New Zealand for the world finals.

The final competition is to be held in July and Simsbury's team is hoping to make the trek to New Zealand to get there.
