Simsbury Scouts Help Friends of Scouting Efforts

Friends of Scouting is the annual campaign where the Connecticut Rivers Council asks Scouting families, businesses and civic-minded citizens to support our mission of providing the Scouting program to thousands of young people in Connecticut.

Friends of Scouting donations help make the difference in supplying the tools needed to provide Scouting in the Connecticut Rivers Council.  In 2013 Scouting families donated $336,000 or 9% of the Council budget.  These generous donations helped provide the program supplies, organize Scouting events, and recruit new Scouts - all essential to creating an environment where your children could grow to become better and healthier citizens and leaders.

Members of Simsbury Boy Scout Troop 175, along with scouts from other troops, helped the CT Rivers Council by talking about why scouting is so important to them.
