One of the components of the Simsbury Democrats' party platform is "Environmental stewardship to preserve Simsbury's beauty and health for generations to come."

As the Town of Simsbury and the Simsbury Land Trust work to preserve George Hall's farm, the Land Trust threw a party in his honor raise funds and awareness for the project. In attendance were (front) First Selectman Mary Glassman, the guest of honor George Hall, (back) Sally Rieger, Conservation Commission member Don Rieger, Deputy First Selectman Lisa Heavner, and State Representative John Hampton.
