Supporting Jeff Tindall for Board of Finance

Today's guest blogger is Selectman Shannon Knall. Democrats on the Simsbury Board of Selectmen have held the line on town spending since 2008, and they're relying on voters to elect a Board of Finance that will balance responsible growth in the grand list with appropriate and efficient spending that supports our high quality school system and public services, without any wasteful or unnecessary costs.

Here's Shannon:

I have known Jeff for several years, and am continually impressed by his commitment to Simsbury. Native to the Town, Jeff has served Simsbury at every turn in various capacities -- as a member of the Aging and Disability commission, as the Chair of the Democratic Town Committee and as a soccer coach for his son's team. His leadership has played an integral part of shaping Simsbury and this record will have an impressive impact on the Board of Finance.

For nine years,  Jeff has worked for CIGNA as a  Director of Regulatory and State Government Affairs, and will bring his legislative and business perspective to the job. Jeff understands what impacts businesses, what attracts them to communities and what makes them stay. Jeff, and his wife Dorothy have two children at Squadron Line Elementary School and he will be able to offer real-time perspective as a result. He is mindful of the need for responsible fiscal management in order to ensure Simsbury's success. Jeff is a thoughtful problem solver, able to reach across party lines for the greater good.

Please join me in voting for Jeff Tindall for Board of Finance on November 5th.
