Simsbury Beats Southington to Earn Spot in CCC West Finals

MAY 22: Less than three weeks after their last meeting, the Simsbury and Southington Boys Lacrosse teams faced each other in the CCC West semifinals. The teams played at Westminster School in a game that was postponed one day due to dangerous weather conditions.

The weather at game time was mild, but the action on the field was anything but. It was a duel to the finish with the game tied 6-6 at the end of the third quarter. Simsbury's Aaron Riccio found the goal twice in the fourth, and the Trojans came out on top, winning 8-6.

Simsbury had to fight hard for every goal. Jimmy ("JimmyJamz") Sexton contributed two clutch assists and was the heart of the team with his hustle and determination.
