APRIL 22: After a tight start to the game, the Simsbury Boys Lacrosse team found their momentum and went on to defeat Hall 10-5 tonight at Holden Field. Key to Simsbury's victory was their control of possession. Junior Brad Helmkamp and sophomore Alex George won 3/4 of the face off battles and the Trojans came up with an impressive 49 ground balls.
Junior attackman Mason Burr led the scoring, with four goals and two assists. Senior John Ryan, playing attack, led the ground ball tally with seven and also contributed three goals and two assists.
The 6-2 Trojans' next game is Wednesday, 4/24, at home. They take on undefeated Xavier at 6PM.
