Simsbury Prevails Against Southington

MAY 4: Newcomer Eli Zempsky made his mark as a member of the Trojan offense Friday night, tallying two goals and two assists against the visiting Blue Knights of Southington.

It was a streaky game for both teams, with Southington making the first strike before Simsbury went on a nine-goal scoring run, which lasted until midway into the third quarter. That's when Southington began to mount an attempted comeback, scoring four goals to Simsbury's zero before the clock ran down.

Senior captain Cormack Mulshine was solid on defense for the Trojans, at one point stealing the ball from a Blue Knight player and taking it down the field to feed it to junior attackman Mason Burr, who put it in the goal.

The Simsbury Trojans are now 10-2 and ranked #10 in the state by laxpower. Their next game is Wednesday, May 8, at South Windsor. Game time is 4:30PM.
