APRIL 24: The Simsbury Boys Lacrosse team was aggressive from the start of tonight's game against Xavier, with sophomore Alex George winning the opening face off and carrying the ball down the field to score. The first half of the game featured both teams trading off goals, and the Trojans and Falcons went into halftime tied 6-6.
The third quarter was tight as well, with Simsbury and Xavier tallying only one goal each. But it was all Simsbury in the fourth, with three unanswered goals for the Trojans, securing them the 10-7 win.
Simsbury rose to the challenge against a tough opponent. Prior to tonight's game, Xavier was undefeated and ranked #9 in the state by laxpower.
Up next for the Trojans is an away contest at Windsor on Friday, 4/26. Game time is 4PM.
