MAY 18: Less than 24 hours after a disappointing loss to Glastonbury, the Simsbury Boys Lacrosse team pulled together to defeat South Windsor handily, 13-4. The Trojans had two impressive fast break goals, with assists by senior defenseman Zach Hogan and junior midfielder Craig Black. Freshman Josh Mastrianni held his own in his first starting stint at close defense.
Simsbury goals were scored by Mason Burr (3), Aaron Riccio (2), David Sizer (2), John Ryan (2), Eli Zempsky, Alex George, Nolan Thompson, and Grant Swenson. Goalies Tim Maher and Andrew Calabro combined to make eight saves.
Next up for the Trojans is a CCC semifinal game on Tuesday, May 21. The game will be played on the turf at Simsbury High School at 7PM.
