Nancy Haase and the Republican Team attend a Powder Forest Gathering

It's only Tuesday night and its been a busy week for the Republican team. Tonight, Powder Forest residents gathered to meet the candidates. Folks were engaged as they asked questions about the stalled Big Y project and with the loss of The Hartford, how the towns will ensure services for the long term.

Nancy Haase, Cheryl Cook, Mike Paine, Polly Rice and Jackie Battos were among the candidates who attended. "We are grateful for the opportunity to share our economic development plan with the residents of Powder Forest," stated Haase. "We share their concerns about the future fiscal health of the town and with the support of the voters on November 5th, we are looking forward to putting that plan into action to grow the commercial grand list and relieve the residential tax burden."
