Always open to visitors, The Emanuel Synagogue is hosting a special events for the community to get to know its staff and members.

On Thursday, August 9, 6:00 – 8:00 pm is our annual Sports Jam and Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream Social. Bring your sports equipment and art supplies or use ours on the front lawn of the synagogue (auditorium in case of rain). Enjoy a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream sundae from their truck. Greet old friends, meet new ones.  $10.00/family for ice cream and toppings. Free to synagogue shoppers.

The article says it provides information about "various ways" the community can helpRead More teachers. However, it provides information only about the Staples discount program. The link takes you to a Staples website, not to a list of ways communities are helping. In addition, statistics given are national, not relating to Simsbury, or even Connecticut. This seems like a canned article designed to promote Staples. Was it written and submitted by that retailer?
