Weekend Results

It was a fine finish for the indoor track team as both the boys and the girls placed in the top half of the Class LL state tournament in Farmington. Julia Levesque led the way for the girls as she won the 55 meter hurdles event and led off the 4 x 200 meter relay team which finished 2nd. Tory Schuler also had a good meet with a 3rd place finish in the 1000 meters. As a team the trojan girls placed 6th out 27 teams.

The boys meanwhile had a successful meet finishing in 12th place. Levi Lilly took 2nd place honors in the pole vault, but perhaps the best performance came from Merrit Gasho who had expected a podium finish in the 600 meter run. And he ran the 2nd fastest time. The only problem is that he committed a lane violation and was disqualified. Gasho had 2 more events to run and had to re-focus himself and set aside the understandable disappointment. He did that and helped the sprint medley relay team to a 5th place finish and the 4 x 200 meter relay team a 9th place finish.

Elsewhere, the boys hockey team (5-8-2) split back to back games. The Trojans fell to Hand 7-4 on Friday, but rallied to foil Farmington 3-2 on Saturday.
