Quick Tips to Improve Your Job Search Results

Ignore the naysayers - there are jobs out there! Here are a few tips to jump start your job search.

  • Research hot industries and job functions. Information Technology, Engineering, Healthcare, Sales and Customer Services are among the top areas for hiring nationwide.

  • Be the solution. The candidate who comes to the interview with ideas and
shows they are excited about the opportunity is memorable.

  • Use keywords-rich resumes, cover letters and LinkedIn profiles to get through the Applicant Tracking Systems and rank higher in employer searches.

  • Develop a networking strategy that includes both face-to-face and online
interactions and build actual relationships. A warm introduction can get you in front of the right person.

  • Follow up with the employer after submitting your resume to let the employer know you are really interested, and always send a thank you note to each person after an interview.
