Simsbury Hometown Heroes Honored

Three Simsbury volunteers were recognized by town officials Wednesday night.

 

Simsbury town officials recognized three dedicated volunteers during the 2012 Hometown Heroes awards ceremony Wednesday night.

The award recipients were:

  • Bob Gauthier: A local veteran who has served as co-chairman of the Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day Observances, volunteered for Jack Bannan’s Turkey Trot, the Lions Club, Town of Simsbury committees, Meals on Wheels, the Talcott Mountain Music Festival and his church.
  • Nancy Grandin: A long-time volunteer with the Simsbury Summer Theater for Youth and other local organizations.
  • Mabel Howard: A dedicated member of the Simsbury Garden Club who has taken on many roles within the club including her role as historian and parliamentarian.
