Simsbury will hold its third annual volunteer expo.

The Town of Simsbury and the Simsbury Tourism Committee will hold the third annual volunteer expo on Thursday, April 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Eno Hall.

Deputy First Selectman John Hampton is once again coordinating this effort.

“I am so excited about the third annual expo — it grows bigger and better every year,” said Hampton. “Simsbury’s greatest resources are its volunteers and non-profit/service organizations. This event brings them all together and celebrates their efforts.”

Last year, groups such as Simsbury Celebrates, SCTV, the Simsbury Farmers’ Market, Girl Scouts, and many others participated and spoke to more than 200 town residents.

This event is free to non-profit and service organizations that are looking for volunteers, rather than members. Exhibit space at Eno Hall is extremely limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference given to Simsbury-based groups. Table space is filling rapidly, with many groups returning from last year. Groups are urged to sign up quickly, and to be aware they may need to share table space with another group.
