Cheryl Cook for Simsbury Board of Selectman!

I am writing in support of Cheryl Cook’s candidacy for Board of Selectman. I first met Cheryl within days of her moving to Simsbury when she volunteered to help lead our daughters’ Girl Scout troop. She has been a steadfast volunteer ever since. Cheryl is always ready to lend a hand or run a committee. As the PTC president at Henry James Memorial School, Cheryl reinvigorated the parents and staffs through changes to the way the committees worked and funds were disbursed. The fundraising under her leadership was the strongest it had/has been in years. As the PTO president at Squadron Line School, Cheryl again was able to disburse our fundraising efforts for the technology needs of our teachers to the benefit all our students. Even the high school SPTC benefited from Cheryl’s hard work, as she introduced the March Madness Rock and Bowl event to benefit ABC House in Simsbury.

Cheryl has stepped up in ways to help our town as well. Through her work as a commissioner for the Simsbury Housing Authority, Cheryl is a welcomed friend to all at Virginia Connelly. While she attends all the meetings, she is a frequent visitor at all the social functions as well.  As a Fidelco family, Cheryl is an integral part of the committee for the Fidelco walk giving Simsbury yet another chance to shine.

For these and many other reasons, I ask that you join me in supporting Cheryl Cook for the Board of Selectman on November 5, 2013.
