Abigail's Grille and Wine Bar

Built from the  oak and broadleaf pine forests of colonial New England, the building that houses Abigail's Grille and Wine Bar served as a stagecoach stop outside of Hartford beginning in 1780. These days, Abigail's specializes in eclectic American cuisine, remaining an integral part of Simsbury, despite serving a slightly different role than in the 18th century. Extensive renovations in 2008 converted this historical landmark into the hip, new, casual dining/bar scene on the end of Hartford Road. The name Abigail's, by the way, comes from the alleged ghost that hangs about here from time to time.
