Simsbury Farms is located on 235 acres of a former apple orchard and is the town's largest recreational facility. OpenedMore in 1970, the park offers an 18-hole golf course with a club house and restaurant, four swimming pools, a covered outdoor skating rink, and lighted tennis and paddle courts. Lessons are also offered in all these activities. In addition, there is a playscape, a family fitness trail and picnic areas. The renovated Apple Barn can be used for meetings and special gatherings.

The stations are covered by members of the Simbsury Volunteer Fire Company.

Tulmeadow Farm, which includes 265 acres, is nestled in the hills of West Simsbury and has been farmed by members of theMore Tuller family since 1768.  Open year-round, the  farm store sells seasonal produce grown in its greenhouses and fields, grass-fed beef as well as locally produced milk, honey, maple syrup, fudge and cheese. Best known for the homemade ice cream and voted "Best Ice Cream" by the 2010 readers poll in Hartford Magazine, Tulmeadow Farm makes over 50 different flavors of rich butterfat gourmet ice cream.
