Hops on Hopmeadow Beer Tasting Social

Long “the” place to stop for a bite to eat for weary travelers,
and known for serving local ale, Simsbury’s historic Phelps Tavern will once
again be open for business when the Simsbury Historical Society hosts “Hops on Hopmeadow,”
a specialty beer tasting event.

The evening will feature cold-craft beer from
three of Connecticut’s great micro-breweries --Broad Brook Brewing Company,
Back East Brewers and Olde Burnside Brewery.  Guests will enjoy food
provided by local eateries, a silent auction, convivial conversation
and music provided by Timothy Scott. Brewers will discuss brewing basics and
provide an insider’s view of the micro-brew industry; visitors can drop in at
anytime during the 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. event on October 25.
Reservations are required: $25 Historical Society members, $35 for non-members
for entry and membership; guests must be 21 or older and show a valid ID.

Reservations required -
