Join us for this special forum addressing genetically
modified foods (GMO's).
GMO's are products that haven been genetically modified at the cellular level
to increase yields, tolerate herbicides and resist disease. Long term effects
on consumers have not been determined since they are unlabeled.
This program will offer information for concerned consumers about GMO's, what
foods have been genetically modified, current research on health effects as
well as updates on advocacy efforts at both the state and national level.
Details on Connecticut's first-in-the-nation law requiring genetically modified
foods to be labeled will also be provided.
