SHS 3rd Girls Boat Takes First at the Simsbury/Tabor Invitational

Racing from a floating start, the 3rd Girls took first place in the 1,500-meter race, beating Tabor by 10.5 seconds with a time of 5:56.6. The winning crew includes: Danielle Osborne (coxswain), Heather Schiller (stroke), Shannon DelGuidace, Rachel Harris, Sydney Bledsoe, Natalie Hallen, Anna Paquette, Emily Caliman, and Ana Ashchepkova (bow).
 
Overall, the 1st Varsity Boys boat finished third, with a time of 4:44.3. The 2nd Varsity Boys also finished third with a time of 5:09.4. The Varsity Girl’s 1st Boat finished second in their race, with a time of 5:14.4. The Varsity Girls 2nd Boat finished with a time of 5:17.8, missing a third place finish by one second.

The 3rd Boys Boat race was very tight. They finished with a time of 5:00.3, 2.8 seconds behind first-place St. Johns, and 1.2 seconds behind second-place Tabor.   For a full listing of the Simsbury/Tabor Invitational race results, check out www.simsburycrew.org.
